it has 2 wheel, 4 wheel part time,4 wheel full time,neutrul,and 4 low,was wondering what type transfer i have|||NP208. Aluminum case, chain driven. Same thing used in the H1 hummer.|||The NP208 was only offered in the full size Cherokees from 1980 to 1987. you are talking about the NP231, also known as NV231. If you look at your shift lever it will most likely say Command Track. The 231 case has been offered since 1988 and has been used on all types of jeeps.
Another option could be the NV242, This case also has 2wd Hi range, full time 4wd, and part time 4wd high and 4 low range. It was in Cherokees and Grand Cherokees as well
