Can I take a 2 wheel drive trans & bolt it up 2 a four wheel drive transfer in a 93toyota 4runner?

I'm looking for parts and I was wondering if a 2 wheel drive is the same as a 4 wheel drive trans with out the transfer case|||it wont fit
