Mopar alternator for my 2003 dodge dekota, 4.7 V8 2 wheel drive, Is it possible to order from mopar directly?

and dose anyone have a contact number for them?

the dealership wanted 320 for it! My truck is 6 years old, aren't the parts supposed to get cheaper as it gets older?|||You have several choices. If you want to buy parts directly from Chrysler (MOPAR) you will need to become a franchised dealer. You would have to find a dealership that is for sale, and be approved for ownership by Chrysler. This will involve a minimum investment in the one million dollar range.

Choice two is to buy your parts from an existing dealer, and pay retail price.

Choice three, and this is the one I would look into, is to buy a rebuilt alternator from an independent parts store, or a chain. You can buy a good rebuilt alternator for under $200.|||If you find a good auto electric shop, it is worth its weight in gold

|||The dealership is always higher. Go to your local auto parts store , they will save you money. then can help you. good Luck|||If you go to one of your local auto parts store you will be able to get a rebuilt one for around $60. Some auto parts stores give a lifetime guarantee on their rebuilds. I bought one from Autozone a while back witha lifetime guarantee for my '72 Plymouth, it self destructed at close to 8000 rpm, and I got a new one with no questions asked for free. After destroying the 3rd one they got a little perturbed with me!
