Truck wont go in 4 wheel drive?

i'm buying a 95 ford bronco.. my cousin said the 4WD linkage is out?...it wont go from 2 to 4 wheel drive...what is the correct name for this part.. how much is the part, and how difficult is it to fix?

he also said the turn signals wont work when you press on the brake. Only when your foot is off the brake will it work...Can you give me an idea of what this might be?

thanks for your help|||The linkage is the bits and pieces between your hand and the transmission including the gear shifter and the parts that are attached to it under your floor before it gets to the transmission. If the shifter won't move, these parts have probably just seized up since they haven't been used in a long time. Take off the boot around the 4wd shifter. You will see what part it is attached to below. Put some penetrating oil on it. Also go under the truck and lubricate any joints in this linkage. Try to work all these joints back and forth.

If that doesn't do it you can try heat with a torch but be careful not to burn anything while you are at it. Also be sure not to torch the tranny itself. There are many rubber seal in there that you don't want to melt.|||A vacuum line could be broken or out of place.
