Can't get my car out of 4 wheel drive. Help!?

I just bought a jeep cherokee made in 1990 yesterday..... I cannot get it out of 4 wheel drive!!! It only goes to "full time" and "part time".... It uses a lever instead of a switch to put it in to 4x4... Anyway please help if you have any suggestions.|||Drive in reverse for about 50 feet or so, that should do the trick :) Good luck!|||That's all you have( Full) means all wheel's pulling all the time. Part time means just that its only in 4 wheel drive when a tire slips then it automatically grabs its a great thing.|||Try to find an owner's manual, but if it has full time 4 wheel drive, you probably don't need to switch it out.|||did you try with the engine off? sometimes if you shut it down you can get it out of 4 wheel drive.|||try putting it in 2 wheel drive and backing up a few feet|||go in reverse for a few metres then try the lever they sometimes get bound up|||where are you from?
