Jeep Liberty 4 Wheel Mode HELP?

Hi

I was trying to put my Jeep Liberty into 4 Wheel High mode and got it stuck into 4 Wheel Lo Mode instead. I cant get it out of this mode. If I try to push the lever, it only goes into Neutral.

The sequence is Part Time -%26gt; 4 Wheel High -%26gt; Neutral -%26gt; 4 Wheel Lo Mode.

Please Help!!!!

Thanks|||First you should rev the engine in park for about 1 minute to recirculate oil throughout the car. Next shift the transmission into neutral tap on the gas pedal roughly 3-4 times every 5 seconds. When you are done with that shift into park, turn off the car and wait a few seconds before starting the engine again. Next start the car, pull up the handbrakes, shift into neutral and then shift the transfer case in which ever gear you would want, I recommend shifting the transfer case in neutral and revving the engine for a few more seconds, this lubricates the gear to lessen this chance of happening again.|||Place transmission in Neutral then shift back to 2WD.|||Did u try to back up sum to release tension on ur t-case. Sumtimes that helps. Hope this helps.|||put your automatic transmission selector into neutral, don't let the vehicle roll faster than 5 mph. Depress the 4X4 selector lever down into neutral, then into 4 hi mode (you might get a grinding sound between neutral and 4 hi). If you get grinding sounds, let off the lever apply a little brake and try pushing it down again until it syncs up and lets you go from neutral into 4 hi. After that you apply brakes and put the automatic transmission selector into Drive. If you have a manual transmission, you can put it into 1st gear instead of drive and be on your way.|||i mechanic for a living,,and you may have to move it a few feet before it will go back in gear,,i got mine locked out one day on dry ground, and it did this,,if you can get it to roll a few feet either way it may go back in gear,,other wise it may have jerked the linkage loose on it,,i have seen this happen a few times before, and also try this with the engine not running,,it may make it go right back in,,good luck hope this help,s.|||I had the same problem call a transmission shop, i had to get mine adjusted good luck
