Is a beach, the sand part with 4-wheel drive, drivable a few hours after a storm?

Seeing if it would be plausible to head down to the private beach house for labor day weekend located just south of VA beach. Must drive on the beach to reach the house though. Heard it was beautiful after Bob in 1991.|||I suppose that would depend on the condition of the beach. It's been my experience that wet sand is easier to drive on than dry sand, but that doesn't mean it's safe to just jump out and go.|||i think i understand your question but maybe not i think it would be safe to traverse a beach in the aspect that you most likely will not get hurt but you may get stuck 4x4 just means 1x2 really if your wimpy little SUV doesn't have lockers or at least a good set of 31 inch tires or bigger but if you must risk it at least go with a buddy with a winch and a tow strap if you cant get a buddy with a winch go to true value and get a hand winch/ fence stretcher good luck city slicker
